A sincere plea for help from you, our compassionate supporters and adopters…

Hamburg Mutts for Freedom has successfully completed our second year as a 501(c)(3) rescue for homeless dogs. We have made miracles happen by providing veterinary care, including boarding and transporting costs, saving about 300 precious lives to date. Our cost for caring for these dogs is very high. So far we have spent over $200,000 getting these babies healthy and ready for their loving homes.  The calls keep coming begging us to help more, and each and every one of them is so deserving. We can’t do this without donations from our generous and dedicated supporters.  We aren’t too proud to ask for help.

Please, we need HELP!

We save dogs from kill shelters near and far, from inhumane puppy mills, and from local folks in desperate need of help to rehome their pets. They turn to Hamburg Mutts for Freedom knowing we are a safe, no-kill rescue where their pet’s care and placement is a top priority. We place dogs in loving volunteer foster homes until their perfect forever home can be found.  We get to know them well, care for them well, and place them well!

Nearly every pet we take in requires veterinary care. Many require extensive medical treatment. We have funded eye surgery, dental surgery, fractured limbs, tumor removal, heartworm treatment and recovery and the list goes on. We are so very grateful that some of the veterinarians we work with let us run a tab as we struggle to raise funds to pay these bills. Regardless of what we owe, we just can’t turn our backs when the calls come to help more in need. We always find a way.  

How can we keep doing this?
